Today's gripe

Aw, criminy, here it starts. First Bill Clinton comes to town, takes over the place. Next it will be Chelsea, then Hillary, then Obama. They'll all probably be back several times before the primary.

Their minions will probably be pestering us to allow the candidates to troop up to our offices for interviews with our editorial board. I say, let 'em buy an ad!

Come on, G.O.E. Move out of your comfort zone a little. This is a good thing for democracy in Pennsylvania -- the people of Washington and Greene counties will finally get a vote in a presidential primary while the race is still in progress.

I, for one, think it would be a good thing for Senator Clinton and Senator Obama to pay a visit to that upstairs conference room at 122 South Main St. in WashPA.

It's good for democracy to see two supposed adults fight like they're on the playground, oblivious to what their scuffling will do to their party? Leave it to the Dems to shoot themselves in the foot in a year when the Republicans were staked to a target an arm's length away. Maybe if H & B did come to the O-R, Lou Florian could put on a bow tie and referee.
