After 37 years in the newspaper business, O-R Editor Park Burroughs may have a right to be grumpy. He answers questions and complaints from readers here daily, and often chimes in with gripes of his own, observations, book reviews and serialized stories.

Is that Chestnut Street? Or Beau?
Dunno.
This couldn't be 1954, as Pittsburgh Railways discontinued service to Washington in August 1953.
this was taken in front of the Basle Theatre (Midtown). This, i would guess was late 1953, the interurban used to "wye" behind the washington trust building, but in the final months... it looped down Beau MADE A LEFT onto one way College ST for one block then made a right onto Chestnut. Cool Photo
